Hello from North Jersey
« on: July 21, 2014, 04:17:05 PM »
Hello, all. New guy from Northern Jersey. Had a few Triumph's over the years, last one being a 98 TBS.
Got the urge for another, and found that the dealer near me [Trebour] has gone belly up.
Anyway I'm hoping to have a 2014 T100 SE within the next month. Have a Road king, an XL1200C and a 76 shovelhead in the garage now, so doing some wheeling and dealing to get the Trump. Also have owned a few Honda'a, a Yamaha and a Victory. Went with a friend who wants a Speed Triple to a dealer, and fell hard for the T100. A test drive did me in.
Keep the shiny side up and thanks for having me.

Hey, John, welcome, and we look forward to riding with you soon. You'll love the Bonnie, there are quite a few among the NJRATS, but we are non- denominational and you can ride anything with us. Check around the forum, and take a look at the calendar...we're going to Cars n' Coffee on Sunday in Manalapan, with a ride to follow, if you're interested.
Triumphs
Hondas
A Norton & A Ducati
And an old Moto Morini

Good to have you John.   Keep an eye out for upcoming events and rides this season - there should be plenty.

You'll also find quite a few threads here and there on the TBS - the bike you never should have gotten rid of!!!

Here's mine freshly back from a run down The Dragon.   Yes, those are two Vincents in the back....

Riding a race bike is an art - a thing that you do because you feel something inside.

Well I told the wife if she graduated from the MSF course, I"d buy her a new bike. So on fathers day, 2002 I bought her a bike. That TBS was the shit. Same as your picture..yellow and black. Re-jetted for the factory performance mufflers, bar end mirrors and a fly screen. Did the work myself. Alot of fun that bike.

Jack Trebour went belly up? Wow - I bought my first Triumph from them. That's too bad.
