MotoGP 2017 - Final Race
« on: November 14, 2017, 10:15:05 PM »
I've been really remiss in reporting on the second half of the MotoGP season.  I just finished watching the season closer at Valencia and wow what a race!  Marquez did what he needed to do and took the crown once again.  It was not without some drama though - while fighting to take the lead from Zarco he hit turn one too hot and lost the front tire.  For anyone else there would have been no saving that mistake, but somehow MM slid into the gravel on his knee and stayed upright!  He pulled back onto the track to take third place behind Pedrosa and Zarco.  Marquez has pulled quite a few of these "unsavable" saves out of his hat this season and deserves the championship just for that.  In a close race for the title this year that kind of riding proved to be the deciding factor.  The Pedrosa/Zarco battle for the race win was also great, though it was sort of overshadowed by Marc's championship win.
Riding a race bike is an art - a thing that you do because you feel something inside.
